GigaDevice, a leading semiconductor company specializing in Flash memory, 32-bit microcontrollers (MCUs), sensors, and analog products, will showcase its latest MCU-based smart appliance solutions for consumer and edge IoT applications at Sensors Converge 2026
At the show, GigaDevice will present a series of live demonstrations with a focus on complete system-level designs for advanced high-efficiency smart motor control and human-machine interfaces (HMIs) applications, highlighting how its series of high-performance, cost-efficient GD32 MCUs enable smarter, more responsive consumer applications.
By combining high performance with cost optimization, GigaDevice’s GD32 MCU portfolio empowers developers to deliver smooth, precise, and reliable operation under real-world conditions, accelerating innovation across both large and small home appliances as well as IoT-enabled control interfaces.
At booth #807, visitors will experience two featured demonstrations. The first demonstration showcases a GUI solution based on the GD32F5HC series, designed for smart appliance control panels and IoT devices. Powered by an Arm Cortex-M33 core running at up to 200 MHz and integrated with the LVGL graphics library, the solution enables smooth animations, fast screen transitions, and responsive user interfaces. It combines a high-speed 40 MHz SPI interface with dual DMA channels to ensure efficient graphics performance while reducing CPU overhead. Optimized for compact and cost-sensitive designs, it supports mainstream display configurations such as 320 × 240 resolution (RGB565), and its proven LVGL performance helps accelerate the development of intuitive and visually rich HMI applications.
The second demonstration showcases an inverter air conditioner solution based on the GD32M531, designed to deliver an optimal balance of performance, energy efficiency, and system cost for smart home applications. The solution enables fast and reliable compressor startup through single-cycle closed-loop control, while advanced algorithms suppress current harmonics and torque ripple for quieter and smoother operation, even at low speeds. It also integrates a high-frequency APFC solution to achieve high energy efficiency, alongside robust support for wide input voltage ranges and operating conditions to ensure stable performance in real-world environments. In addition, its optimized control architecture helps reduce external components and simplify hardware design, enabling cost-effective implementation for mass-market air conditioning systems.
Shahram Mehraban, VP and General Manager of GigaDevice Americas region, said: “GigaDevice’s GD32 MCU platform is deployed across millions of devices worldwide, trusted by engineers and system designers in consumer, industrial, and IoT markets. Sensors Converge gives us an opportunity to bring that global technology leadership directly to Americas design teams and demonstrate how our system-level solutions reduce time to market and lower total system cost.”
