Paw Prosper announced today that it is doubling its scholarship offerings, reaffirming its dedication to supporting veterinary professionals through every stage of their careers. Starting today, students enrolled in veterinary medicine programs and animal professionals pursuing continuing education can apply to receive $1,000 toward their studies.
To mark its third year of offering these scholarship opportunities, Paw Prosper will award a total of four $1,000 scholarships: two Student of Veterinary Medicine scholarships and two Continuing Education scholarships.
Applications are open to students enrolled in accredited veterinary medicine programs and to practicing professionals in continuing veterinary education courses in the United States and Canada. To apply, veterinary medicine students must write a 1,000-word essay describing how they hope to contribute to the advancement of the veterinary field. Current professionals are asked to reflect on how their careers to date have matched or differed from their original expectations.
The application window opens Jun. 1, 2026, and closes Aug. 31, 2026.
In 2025, Paw Prosper received a record-breaking number of scholarship applications. To reflect the growing need for tuition assistance, Paw Prosper has expanded its program to award four veterinary scholarships to current and future care providers who have demonstrated devotion to the animals they care for.
“We were thrilled with the response to our 2025 scholarships,” says Paw Prosper CEO Ryan DeCaire. “We want to reduce the barrier to entry for students and professionals in continuing education. With such strong interest, especially from a new generation of veterinary students, we knew we had to expand our scholarship program to reflect that.”
Paw Prosper also recently acquired two leading sources of continuing veterinary education, a move that further solidifies its commitment to education in the animal care sector:
- Canine Rehabilitation Institute (CRI): A premier organization dedicated to advancing animal rehabilitation through hands-on clinical training, certification, and continuing education. CRI equips veterinary and physical therapy professionals with advanced practical training to deliver the highest level of patient care.
- Onlinepethealth: The leading resource for continuing education, community, and professional development in the field of veterinary rehabilitation. Its offerings include monthly webinars, research summaries, business trainings, a weekly podcast, blogs, and live interviews.
By adding CRI and Onlinepethealth, Paw Prosper continues to position itself as a trusted resource for veterinarians and rehabilitation experts at every stage of their professional journeys.
Lainey Caswell, a 2025 Student of Veterinary Medicine Scholarship recipient, encourages everyone to apply. “Receiving the Paw Prosper Scholarship was a defining moment,” Caswell said. “I am proud to graduate Cum Laude from the University of Arizona with a double major in Biochemistry and Veterinary Sciences. Thanks to this support, I’ve committed to the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine Class of 2029.”
Caswell added, “The Paw Prosper Scholarship helped me stay rooted in my community while pursuing my dream.”
